Swingistan is a seven-headed band from Berlin and has been playing "Eclectic Swing" for more than four years. A special mixture of swing, Turkish and Eastern European lyrics and melodies, jazz elements and international rhythms - own songs, covers, traditional songs in new arrangements and sometimes even psychedelic operetta pieces included. With straight and exciting beats, loud and quiet sequences - but always danceable.

Wenn Swing und Eastern Folk zusammen auf Reisen gehen und Django türkische Liebeslieder spielt, wenn das Saxophon glüht, das Akkordeon singt und der Kontrabass tanzt, dann heißt es "Welcome to Swingistan!" Die siebenköpfige Berliner Band spielt Swing, türkische und osteuropäische Melodien mit jazzigen Elementen und alles, was ihr sonst noch gefällt - mal langsam, oft schnell, und immer tanzbar.
